  1. A very good trio of stories.
    “The Black Skeleton” brought to mind all kinds of childhood horror, from bullying siblings to cruel parents and the mystical fear of read-about but never seen monsters. Plus a dollop of old-school karma at the end.
    “Interrupted Dinner” was a nice exercise. I appreciated how carefully it built up the scene – then stopped, right at the precipice.
    “The Comrade” moved like a fantasy in an unexpected direction. Good probe of grief and regret, refracted.
