An episode with its ups and downs. Mr. Browning’s “My Last Duchess” did not seem horrific at first, yet the closer it came to the end, the more I came to dread what would happen. This is a piece of quiet terrors, and all the more enjoyable for it.
“All Paths Lead To Psychopath” seemed a fairly straight forward tale, creepy in its own way, and then the end came along and I enjoyed it all the more. Flash fiction with its own teeth.
The down was “Long Way Home”. I think this is more a matter of personal taste, but the story just didn’t work for me, perhaps because I kept waiting for the horror promised by the first few lines. It seemed Mr. Waggoner spent more time descrbing that everything would be okay than he did in telling the story. A paragraph used in place of a few words?
