  1. Some additional thoughts, my future reading plans, and also some purchase links:

    Future Reading

    The Haunting of Hill House

    Witch House

  2. Like this kind of thing? You should go over to Tales to Terrify’s Facebook page and see the two pages shown here in all their blown up glory. Excellent use of…equipment here.

  3. Kevin, have you read Matthew Pridham’s haunted house story “Renovations” from Weird Tales #348? I highly recommend it – really excellent and original use of the house as a living being motif. It’s available here, if you’re curious: http://weirdtalesmagazine.com/2009/01/09/renovations/

  4. Excellent Horror 101 Kevin. The ‘motif’ of the place as an entity has always been one of my favorite, ever since I read 1408 by Stephen King. His take on it seems to be that something malevolent and nasty in one dimension can appear to be innocuous in ours, which I find interesting.

  5. Dominick – thanks for the tip. Will definitely feature it.

Thanks, J. And we’ve got some wonderful variations on that theme and the gothic tale coming up soon…
