  1. This isn’t exactly self-promotion but last Friday I received my .pdf proof-copy of “Slices of Flesh,” a collection of horror flash fiction published by Dark Moon Books. “Slices…” is scheduled for launch at the World Horror Convention, March 29th – April 1, 2012 in Salt Lake City. Cover art is by Mike Mignola (Hellboy) with Dave Stewart doing the color work.

I mention this not because I’ve got a story in it but because I want to pimp the thing to you. The net proceeds from “Slices of Flesh” will go to aid the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation, Project Literacy and other charitable groups. The main thrust of it is to help the more than 30 million functionally illiterate American adults to learn to read.

I’m also posting this information because I’m proud as hell to be nestled in the book with these people…

    Good company, yes?

So, when you can, please buy this book. It’s good reading and your money could help a few people make a better life for themselves and maybe, just maybe it will save the planet.

    Well…it might!

  2. As mentioned on an earlier show, I am a flibbertigibbet. This is the url for further information about “Slices of Flesh.” Until World Horror Con, you’ll have to take my word on how good a collection of stories it is. Go here: http://www.darkmoonbooks.com/Slices_of_Flesh.htm

  3. I enjoyed Mr. Everson’s story in this week’s Tales to Terrify. I’ve heard him read many times in the past, and it was interesting to hear a different reader narrate one of his stories. An excellent take on an excellent story, I thought. Also, thanks to Mr. Allen for the heads-up about John Langen and his book “Mr. Gaunt”. It sounds interesting, and I had never heard of it before. (I also hope I spelled Mr. Langen’s name correctly.)
By the way, Larry Santoro’s nook exists much as he describes it. I have been there. The bookcases are filled to the ceiling, and they lean at crazy angles, like Lovecraftian architecture.

  4. Thanks, Mike. I appreciate it.

  5. And thanks from me, too, Mike. You tweaked my interest and I just ordered it.

  6. Aloha Terror Tribe!
Congrats Larry on being in “Slices of Flesh”! You can READ and WRITE well too! Multi-talented! Well deserved!
    Great show.
I have a weak spot of witches, carmel apples, and Halloween… so loved the story.

  7. I enjoyed this episode and the way you finished it off haha Love this Podcast 🙂
